DescriptionThe successful candidate for this position must have at least 5 years of Project Management Experience managing a variety of projects inclusive of and excluding an IT component. The candidate must also be willing to travel between Calgary and Edmonton offices, as required.

  • Related degree or diploma (3+ years)
  • Demonstrated hands-on project management experience that identifies 5 or more years managing a variety of projects inclusive of and excluding an IT component
  • Ability to travel between Calgary and Edmonton offices, as required
 
Nice To Have Skills
  • 5 years of demonstrated hands-on (vs. oversight) experience managing projects within legacy replacement programs in the GoA
  • 5 years of demonstrated hands-on (vs. oversight) experience managing the development of a full solution
  • 5 years of demonstrated hands-on (vs. oversight) experience reporting project performance using earned value assessment
  • 5 years of demonstrated experience managing teams of IT resources
  • 5 years of demonstrated hands-on (vs. oversight) experience that identifies the application of different types of estimation models
  • 5 years of evidence of applying strong leadership, faciliatation, mediation, and communiction skills to different types of projects
  • 5 years of demonstrated hands-on (vs. oversight) experience managing a spectrum of projects from less to more complex
  • 5 years of demonstrated experience developing business arguments (i.e., a business case) for a project approach or strategy
  • 5 years of demonstrated hands-on (vs. oversight) experience applying risk management strategies to projects
  • 5 years of evidence of having used Microsoft Project to manage schedule, cost and resources
  • 5 years of evident of having used the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) to develop project management documentation
  • PMP designation number supplied
