Job Opportunity
DescriptionThe successful candidate will provide videoconferencing support - including monitoring and troubleshooting of videoconferences, including basic troubleshooting of videoconference equipment, providing helpdesk support for all inquiries and if, necessary, escalation to the appropriate group and to work within existing procedures and guildelines to meet client business requirements. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), a proven ability ot function on an individual basis and in a team environment, and exceptional troublshooting and problem resolution skills as essential.

Experience Required/ Mandatory Skills
  • A related diploma and directly related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. (Minimum 2 years)
  • Technical knowledge and experience with Windows operating systems (Windows XP/Windows Vista). (Minimum 2 years)
  • Technical knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office 2003/2007. (Minimum 2 years)
  • Technical knowledge and experience with Internet Explorer. (Minimum 2 years)
  • Technical knowledge and experience with Intel-based PCs (such as Compaq, Dell, IBM, etc.). (Minimum 2 years)
  • Technical knowledge and experience with Intel-based Notebooks (such as Compaq, Dell, IBM, etc.). (Minimum 1 year)
  • Technical knowledge and experience with networked printers. (Minimum 1 year)
  • Proven software and hardware troubleshooting and problem resolution skills (provide references).
  • Proven ability to function on an individual basis and in a team/group environment (provide references).
  • Ability to retain new information and adapt quickly in a rapidly changing IT environment. (provide references/examples).
  • Ability for early morning or evening work hours (i.e., outside of 8am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday excluding holidays observed by Her Majesty.
 
Nice To Have Skills
  • Familiarity with the GOA infrastructure, business direction, strategies, shared service initiatives and applications.
  • Experience working in a local or provincial government environment.
  • Experience with ITSM/Remedy.
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio 2003/2007.
  • Experience with Microsoft Publisher 2003/2007.
  • Experience with Microsoft Access 2003/2007.
  • Experience with Microsoft Vista.
  • Experience with SMS remote software.
  • Experience with Citrix.
  • Experience with videoconferencing end-point hardware.
  • Experience with IP based videoconferencing bridge hardware.
  • Experience with IP based videoconferencing bridging and reservation software.
  • Experience with IP based videoconferencing bridging and reservation software (RMX platform).
  • Experience with VCScheduler software.
  • Available to start October 1, 2010.
