| Description | The Technology Architect - Operations Lead will report to the Manager of Technology Advancement and Operations and liaise with relevant project team members. This role will manage activities related to supporting the development, system integration, training, user-acceptance and production environments. The role will manage daily operations and activities related to supporting all environments and transition tasks to an Application Maintenance and Support (AMS) provider. |

| Experience Required/ Mandatory Skills |

Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, Computer Sciences, Management Information Systems or equivalent professional work experience.

At least three (3) years experience as a Technology Architect and/or Operations Lead in IT infrastructure architecture. Experience to include but not limited to designing and implementing end-user devices, servers, networks, storage, applications and data.

Certified at the Curam Developer version 4.5 level or above and/or equivalent experience.

Demonstrated experience, minimum two (2) years as a service delivery lead, in at least one (1) large, multi-stakeholder Curam solution-based project, including experience in designing, developing and modiifying large-scale Curam-based solutions. Experience should include: Supporting and configuring Curam runtime environments running on IBM WebSphere Application Server and DB2; Facilitating upgrade installations of Curam Software including service packs and hot fixes.

Experience identifying, analyzing and managing project risks on large, complex IT development, maintenance or enhancement projects.

Ability to manage the support of Rational Clear Quest, Requisite Pro, and Clear Case.

Ability to manage the support of Rational Team Concert for source control and continuous automated build cycles.

Fundamental understanding of software development life cycles, application release management and software development methodologies.

Demonstrated experience in performance and stress testing activities to support non-functional requirements.

Experience with the Government of Alberta IT environment, including GAEA.

An understand of the core functionality or the associated business processes of human services.

Experience supporting or implementing: Java, EJB, J2EE, and Rational Rose.

Minimum of one (1) year experience maintaining or managing quality assurance controls involving multiple IT products and services.

Experience in documenting operations infrastructure, system procedures, status reports and disaster recovery planning (DRP) requirements.
