Experience Required/ Mandatory Skills
  • Strong facilitation skills, with the ability to organize and facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings, mindful of the impact of organizational change, with both ministry staff and technical groups.
  • Ability to analyze, synthesize, document and communicate business information into technical specifications as well as simplify complex technical information into business language.
  • Ability to create, plan, and execute testing strategies to support business process and software development quality assurance.
 
Nice To Have Skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written, with varying stakeholder groups.
  • Intermediate to senior level experience in business analysis methods and practices with experience in developing business and technical requirements for both maintenance and at least one large complex project.
  • Working knowledge of the up-stream oil and gas industry, with experience related to Volumetrics and Valuations, Infrastructure (Wells, Facilities and Flowlines/Pipelines) and Royalites in a regulatory environment.
  • Ability to model business processes using BPM notation.
  • Experience in software development lifecycle activities in an integrated technical environment.
  • Experience with information technology best practices for software development and ongoing release and change management.
  • Experience in developing and enhancing tools and methods for use in Business Analysis and Quality Assurance activiities.
  • Experience working well with an integrated team of both business and technical resources.
  • Experience using or certification with ProSci Change Management methodology is considered an asset.
  • Experience as an IT Architect is considered an asset.
  • Experience as a Project Mangger is considered an asset.
